Q: How do I create an account?
A: Download the app and sign in with Apple or Google. Your account is automatically created when you sign in for the first time. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your profile setup.
Q: How do I sign in on multiple devices?
A: Simply install the app on your other device and sign in using the same Google or Apple account. Your journal entries and settings will automatically sync across all devices when connected to the internet.
Syncing & Data
Q: How do I sync my journal entries across devices?
A: Your journal entries automatically sync when you're connected to the internet. Make sure you're signed in to the same account on all devices. If syncing isn't working, try signing out and back in, or check your internet connection.
Q: Can I export my journal entries?
A: Yes! You can export your journal entries in Markdown format. Look for the export option in your journal settings. This allows you to keep a backup of your content.
Q: Can I access my journal offline?
A: Yes! Recent entries are cached locally on your device and can be viewed and edited offline. Changes will sync automatically when you reconnect to the internet.
Account & Subscription
Q: What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?
A: Your content and notes remain safe and accessible. You'll retain access to free-tier features, and we never delete your data due to non-payment. Your journal content is always yours.
Q: How do I manage my subscription?
A: Subscription management depends on where you subscribed:
• Apple App Store: iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
• Google Play Store: Google Play Store app > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
• Web subscriptions: Visit the Pricing page on our website
Q: Can I use my subscription across different devices?
A: Yes! Sign in with the same Google or Apple account on all your devices to access your subscription benefits everywhere.
Q: How do I delete my account?
A: We're sorry to see you go! To permanently delete your account and all associated data, please visit our Account Deletion page (use the 'Request Account Deletion' button above) for detailed information about what will be deleted and how to submit your request. You can also email us at support@rebuildingfaith.org with the email address associated with your account. We'll process your request within 7 business days. Please note this action is irreversible.
Privacy & Security
Q: Is my journal content private?
A: Yes, your journal entries and notes are completely private. We don't analyze, read, or share your personal content. Your journals are encrypted and only accessible to you.
Q: What data do you collect?
A: We collect only what's necessary to provide the service: your account information, journal content, and usage analytics to improve the app. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Q: How do I request my personal data?
A: Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy laws, you have the right to request a copy of your personal data. Email support@rebuildingfaith.org with the subject 'Data Request' and we'll provide your data within 30 days.
Troubleshooting
Q: The app won't open or keeps crashing. What should I do?
A: First, try force-quitting and reopening the app. If that doesn't work, restart your device. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the app (your data is safely stored in the cloud). If you still have issues, contact us at support@rebuildingfaith.org.
Q: I'm having trouble signing in with Google or Apple.
A: Make sure you're using the same Google or Apple account you originally used to create your account. Check that you're connected to the internet and that you haven't revoked app permissions in your Google or Apple account settings. If issues persist, contact support.
Q: My entries aren't syncing. What's wrong?
A: Check your internet connection and ensure you're signed in to the same Google or Apple account on all devices. Try signing out and back in. If the problem continues, contact support.
Q: I'm having trouble with voice dictation.
A: Voice dictation uses your device's built-in speech recognition. Make sure microphone permissions are enabled for the app in your device Settings. Check your internet connection, as some devices require it for voice features.
Features & Usage
Q: How do I use the Bible study tools?
A: Tap on any verse to see Strong's Concordance entries, cross-references, and study notes. You can highlight verses, add personal notes, and save passages for later review.
Q: Can I share my journal entries?
A: Community sharing features are currently in development. For now, you can export your entries and share them manually if desired.
Q: Does the app work internationally?
A: Yes! The app works worldwide wherever you have an internet connection. The app is currently available in English.
